Dogs are naturally inquisitive creatures, known for exploring their surroundings through their mouths. As a cannabis user, it is highly likely that your dog will eventually try your stash. Dr. Kate Smith, medical director for Animal Urgent Care in Arvada, can attest to this as her office receives calls about pets consuming marijuana on a regular basis. In some cases, the owners are unaware of what happened and report their dog acting disoriented or intoxicated. Other times, there are clear signs such as an empty container of edibles or a torn baggie.
