Elon Musk: The Benefits of Ketamine and Why Investors Shouldn’t Worry

In a recent interview with journalist Don Lemon, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that he uses ketamine to combat negative thoughts and improve his mental state. But don’t worry, investors –– Musk insists that he is rarely under the influence when he posts on social media.

According to Musk, there are times when he experiences a “negative chemical state” in his brain, similar to depression, and ketamine helps him get out of that mindset. He also clarified that he has a prescription for the drug from a legitimate doctor and only uses a small amount every other week.

This isn’t the first time Musk’s drug use has made headlines. Last year, The Wall Street Journal reported that he is known to use ketamine, along with other psychedelics like psilocybin and LSD, as a means to achieve business breakthroughs. However, Musk’s endorsement of ketamine’s benefits sparked a debate on the overdiagnosis of depression and the overuse of antidepressants.

Despite concerns from some executives at his company SpaceX, NASA has cleared the company of any illicit activity related to Musk’s drug use. In a statement, they emphasized the importance of meeting workplace safety requirements and ensuring a drug- and alcohol-free workforce.

But for Musk, his use of ketamine should not be a concern for investors. As he stated in the interview, what matters is execution and building value for shareholders. And with Tesla’s success in the car industry, Musk believes that his use of ketamine should not be a hindrance.

While he may not drink or smoke pot, Musk admits to dabbling in other substances. But ultimately, his focus remains on delivering results and creating value for investors. So, as long as he continues to execute and drive success for Tesla, his use of ketamine should not be a cause for concern.
