Hemp CBD Craze: How TONIC is Leading the Way
As someone who has been in the medical cannabis industry for years, I was initially taken aback by the sudden emergence of the hemp CBD craze. It seemed like everyone was jumping on the bandwagon, but there was no clear leader in the hemp world. That is, until I discovered TONIC.
For years, whenever someone asked me for a reliable CBD topical or tincture, I always recommended TONIC. Founded by Long Island native Brittany Carbone, this brand stood out to me for its commitment to quality and transparency. In fact, I was so impressed by Carbone and her husband’s dedication to their craft that I even interviewed her for an article about their hemp farm tours in 2018.
What sets TONIC apart is that they grow and harvest their own hemp, process it themselves, and formulate their own products. In 2017, they were one of the only independent CBD brands doing this, and Carbone was also a familiar face at cannabis-related events, helping to build a community of like-minded individuals looking to enter the legal cannabis or hemp market.
But TONIC’s impact goes beyond just their products. Carbone is also passionate about empowering people to grow their own cannabis at home and connecting them with trusted, licensed brands. She even helped New York’s first legal shop, Housing Works, stock their shelves with quality products for their launch.
And now, TONIC has expanded beyond just hemp CBD offerings. They also have a THC line of vapes, gummies, and pre-rolls available in New York dispensaries. Personally, I can’t get enough of their gummies, but their CBD face oil remains my skin’s favorite weed-related product.
