Denver District Attorney Beth McCann announced on Friday that her office will be pressing charges against 23 individuals from two organized crime groups for their involvement in over 40 carjackings and burglaries of marijuana dispensaries. The arrests were made possible through collaborative efforts between the Denver District Attorney’s Office, Denver Police Department, Aurora Police Department, FBI, ATF, the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network, and the Violent Criminal Enterprise Task Force, as stated in a news release from the district attorney’s office. McCann expressed her gratitude to the dedicated law enforcement officers who worked tirelessly on these investigations, emphasizing that these arrests serve as a clear message that the Denver metro area is committed to dismantling dangerous criminal organizations and making the streets safer for its residents.
