State legislators have set a hearing for later this month to jumpstart efforts to update the laws governing the troubled Cannabis Control Commission. The Joint Committee on Cannabis Policy in Massachusetts has scheduled an informational hearing on October 30 to discuss potential changes to the law that established the state’s thriving marijuana industry and the CCC, which oversees the regulation of the state’s largest cash crop. The committee announced that it will be inviting various stakeholders in the Massachusetts cannabis industry to testify. The main focus of the hearing will be on the agency’s operations and ensuring proper accountability within its structure.
