Reworded: In recent articles, it has been discussed how rookie quarterback Bo Nix has impressed the Broncos and shown he is ready to start. However, the team’s success will also depend on their top players, particularly former All-Pro Patrick Surtain II. While Nix’s presence in coach Sean Payton’s scheme brings confidence, it is crucial for CB2, Riley Moss, to also perform well in order for teams to challenge Surtain. In a recent game against the Packers, there were concerns when backup QB Sean Clifford targeted Moss, but ultimately the pass was overthrown. However, there are still worries about Moss’s ability to defend against faster receivers, as seen when Green Bay’s Malik Heath was able to create separation. This is especially concerning considering the Broncos will face a much more talented quarterback in Patrick Mahomes.
